Hyman Warsager studied at Pratt Institute and at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. He was a member of the United American Artists and was employed by the Graphic Arts Division of the WPA/Federal Arts Project in New York City from 1935 to 1939. He was known for his

 

definitive techniques in serigraphy, which he developed with Anthony Velonis; his later work evolved into abstraction. He exhibited at the Whitney Musuem of American Art and his work is included in the Brooklyn Museum, among others.

A fine, rich impression, on cream wove paper, with full margins (2 to 3 1/2 inches). Several repaired tears in the sheet edges, well away from the image, otherwise in very good condition.
