Eine zeitschrift fur Kunst, a deluxe art review which featured expressionist
works. The publication was edited by Rosa Schapire and Wilhelm Niemeyer,
both art historians, and designed by Karl Schmidt-Rottluff, who also contributed
several woodcuts. Rosa Schapire, a close friend of Schmidt-Rottluff, produced
the standard catalogue raisonne of his prints. Schott
created 6 woodcuts for this "Magazine for Art"; Theater
is considered his masterpiece.
