Saint Thomas Church, a New York City landmark, is located at Fifth Avenue and 53rd Street. Designed by the distinguished architectural firm of Cram, Goodhue and Ferguson in the French High Gothic style, the church was completed in 1913. Saint Thomas is built completely of stone according to medieval construction principles, using load-bearing rib vaulting without the space-spanning benefits of steel; the nave vault rises 95 feet above the floor.
