A fine, richly-inked impression, on cream wove paper, with margins (1 to 1 1/2 inches); very slight toning within a previous mat opening, slight discoloration from previous hinges in the top left and right sheet corners, well away from the image, otherwise in very good condition.

The reclining figure is Thomas Hart Benton, deMartelly's teacher and friend.
